Objectives

Our school’s Science curriculum adheres to the Ministry of Education’s Science Curriculum Framework and utilizes the Scientific Inquiry Approach to meet both national and international standards. The primary aim is to cultivate critical, analytical, and inventive thinkers who possess curiosity and a positive attitude towards science. By studying Secondary Science, students will acquire vital knowledge and skills across various disciplines, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, enabling them to understand and apply scientific concepts in real-life situations.

Hands-On Investigations: Students engage in hands-on investigations and experiments in realistic settings.

Programmes

Learning Beyond the Classroom
We believe that learning science extends beyond the classroom walls. Outdoor experiences bring science to life, and collaborations with organizations like South East CDC, NEA, NParks, and the Science Centre enhance learning through workshops and competitions. Field trips to locations such as the Yakult factory and NEWater Visitor Centre offer hands-on adventures that complement classroom learning.

Science Research Programme (SRP)
The Science Research Programme (SRP) equips students with essential skills such as critical thinking, effective communication, data analysis, and problem-solving through hands-on experiments, fieldwork, and independent research projects. This programme nurtures curiosity and creativity, allowing students to work closely with school-based mentors to conduct their own experiments and enhance their understanding of scientific principles. Students are also encouraged to present their findings through reports, presentations, and posters, effectively communicating their ideas and preparing for future academic and professional challenges. Passionate participants can look forward to engaging in competitions like the Singapore Science and Engineering Fair, providing excellent opportunities to showcase their talents and achievements.
